The FoCAS book sprint was completed in the afternoon of the day 5, Friday 8 November with a book titled “Adaptive Collective Systems. Herding black sheep”. The small team of scientiests managed to convert a complex and deep topic into text that is understandable for an educated public. The book covers questions related to defining, designing, controlling, and governing adaptive collective systems.
The designer Henrik van Leeuwen was able to complete the typography, layout and illustrations in record time due to the keen insterest the contributors had in his skills and experience. Their comments and feedback resulted in fast paced and valuable discussions on the topics.
Having produced two book sprints the BS4ICTRSRCH facilitation team is becoming progressively expert in the methodology, and should be able to switch easily between different contexts and types of ICT research groups.
